Senior Network Engineer (DC Patching/ Security)

Job Brief:

We are urgently hiring a 'Senior Network Engineer (DC Patching/ Security)' for a well-known IT Company in Qatar.

Designation: Senior Network Engineer (DC Patching/ Security)

Salary: QAR 12K - 15K

Job Responsibilities:

Complete and in-depth knowledge of network management & security technologies and approaches. (DMZ design, IPSec, proxies, RADIUS, Network intrusion detection sensors)

Thorough understanding and knowledge of network operating systems, network equipment and networking protocols

Network attack and penetration methods and defences

Web Proxy security

Web application Firewall

Sound knowledge of security techniques, latest protocols and defences against new viruses and other attacks

Basic ability to program scripts and batch files

Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Visio and MS Project

Network installations, implementations and configurations (Main vendor is Cisco Systems)

Network security systems installations, implementations and configurations (Main vendor is Cisco Systems)

Had experience from a service provider class networks and operations

Well knowledge/experience on MPLS networks (L2VPN/L3VPN/TE)

Well knowledge/experience on advanced routing and switching (L2/L3)

Well knowledge/experience on the service provider routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP)

Well knowledge/experience on Cisco Firewalls (ASA, FWSM) and Cisco IPSEC and IPS Modules/Appliances

Well knowledge/experience on the service provider IOS (as, IOS-XR / IOS SR & SX)

Well knowledge/experience on the service provider routers and switches (as, Cisco7600 / Cisco6500 / CRS-1 / ASR9K)

Knowledge/experience on the network and server load balancers (Application optimization and acceleration)

Knowledge/experience on any Network Management System (as, CA, IP-Monitor, MRTG/PRTG, HP OV) and readying reports

Visio design/diagramming skills

Documenting on a wiki and in Visio all network topology changes

Cisco Optical or Unified Communications Experience is a plus

Cisco Nexus Experience is a plus

In-depth trouble shooting and problem analysis skills

Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information System or related field

Work Experience: 8 Years

Salary: QAR 12K - 15K

This job is based in Doha, Qatar.

Education & Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information System or related field
• CCIE SEC with 5 years practical hands on experience
• At least holding two CCxP certification specializations from Cisco Systems
• Experience network security (Cisco is mandatory, Juniper, or Checkpoint)
• Hands on experience managing and implementing virtual networks
• ITIL v3 foundation
• Ability to design and deploy client solutions
• Operational experience in managing/maintaining complex network environments within a managed service environment
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills with specific focus on technical and operational documentation
• Willingness and ability to teach and train others
